• The process of bamboo shoots concentrates in the northern area of China, as Fujian, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hunan and Jiangxi. Among these, Fujian is the biggest production base, taking up 50% quantity. Second one is Zhejiang province, which takes up 1/3 quantity. And others take up 1/6. Production season is spring, usually starts from the middle of March and lasts to the early of May, when is the best season in the south.

Bamboo shoots products are mainly exported to Japanese market, having a long history. Recently, with the development of domestic market, production cost is increasing, and price of bamboo shoots is soaring up accordingly. Both the output and the export quantity are decreasing year by year.
