PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
AISI SAE 1045 Carbon Structural Steel Coil belongs to medium carbon steel.
1045 steel is used by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE): AISI or SAE 1045.
AISI 1045 and AISI 5140 steels are American standard grades widely used in the machinery manufacturing industry.
From the ASTM A29 standard, we can see many series, including carbon steel and alloy steel. As a member of the 104X family, 1045 steel is the most commonly used, followed by AISI 1040 steel.
As a widely used medium carbon steel, AISI 1045 steel is generally supplied in the hot-rolled state in the market, and most of them are hot-rolled round steel and hot-rolled steel plate. The diameter range of ordinary hot-rolled round steel is 20-350mm, and the thickness range of hot-rolled steel plate is 5-200mm.
Its chemical composition element ratio (%): Carbon C: 0.42～0.50; Chromium Cr: ≤0.25; Manganese Mn: 0.50～0.80; Nickel Ni: ≤0.25; Phosphorus P: ≤0.035; 0.17～0.37.
