Wedge Wire False Bottom VS False Perforated Bottom

Their structural characteristics determine their differences.
Wedge wire type: V-shaped wire structure, welded with T-shaped support wire, its advantages are:

1- Compared with the perforated plate, the structure is firm and the compression resistance is strong, difficult to deform.
2- Large opening area.
V-shaped wires are arranged in parallel, and there is a long and narrow gap in the middle, which determines that the opening area of V-shaped wires is better than that of perforated plates.
3- Fast flow rate.
4- Stable gap size. The size of the perforated plate hole will change with the increase of using time, If not replaced, impurities will enter the pure wort, which will greatly affect the taste of beer.
V-wire structure avoids this problem.
5- Not easy to block, easy to clean.
After the perforated plate is used for a long time, the hole will be blocked, which will reduce the flow and increase the pressure drop.
V-shaped wire structure, the contact between impurity and wire is only two points, which is hard to block and easy to clean, so it has a longer service life.
