Vertical storing dock levelers are a special type of hydraulic dock levelers for warehouse loading docks. It has unique advantages compared with regular pit fixed dock levelers.

1. When there is no loading job, vertical storing dock levelers will retreat into warehouse. So overhead dock doors will be able to close completely to the ground floor. There will be no any gap between inside and outside of warehouse, which exists in regular dock levelers. Thus, vertical storing dock leveler can reduce heat transmission and help keep temperature inside warehouse. It can save energy for users. This point is very meaning full for cold rooms or cooler rooms.

2. It can help keep clean and prevent dust entering warehouses because dock doors can close to ground floor completely.

3. It can isolate warehouse and outside loading docks when it stands up. This will avoid forklifts fall down through loading docks and protect forklift drivers.

There are two types of vertical storing dock leveler for your options:

1. Fixed front lip: Front lip and platform are actually a whole body. The strength is excellent and there is no shaking during loading job. This type is mostly used, which is chosen by 80% projects.

2. Movable front lip: Front lip is hinged and connected with platform with a bar. The front lip can lift up and down with a separate hydraulic cylinder. This type can touch with container floor more flexibly and tight.
