Production Name:Serum Separating Gel
Function:
Serum separating gel is a kind of hydrophobicity organic compound. The function mechanism is that the normal specific gravity for serum is about 1.02; for blood clots is about 1.093 and for serum separating is maintained at 1.050 to 1.055. Under the effect of centrifugal force, serum separating gel forms a stable barrier (upper serum, middle gel and lower blood cell) between the serum and the blood cells, resulting in obtaining high quality serum and meeting the requirements from testing and transportation.

Viscosity: 15±2×104mPa.s
Packing: 25kg/barrel /200kg/barrel
Characteristics:
1. High resistance to irradiation. The performance won't be changed during irradiation when the irradiated dose by Gamma Ray is 20~40kGy.
2. Perfect reversal. The serum separating gel with 1.05~1.06 specific gravity can be reversed stably after centrifugation and the reversal thickness won't be lower than 5mm.
3.Excellent thixotropy. The serum separating gel with low specific gravity wont flow when it lays flat or stands upside down at room temperature and at 60 degree.
4.Adoption of the latest new polymer system. It resolves the structuring problem existed in organic silicon system and the validity is extended to over 3 years.

With 1500g RCF for 5 minutes, the reversal and constriction trace on surface of serum separating gel can be seen clearly in 1.075 Copper~bath solution, which means there is no any residual from gel on bottom of test tube. The reversal thickness of serum separating gel in 1.07 Copper~bath solution is not lower than 4mm when centrifugation is with 1500g RCF for 5 minutes after storage at 4 degree for 2 hours.
