1.Magnetic materials category

Magnetic materials basically contain Ferrite and Alnico, Sm-Co and Nd-Fe-B.
The rare earth permanent-magnet material contains Sm-Co and Nd-Fe-B.
At present the products widely applied are Ferrites. The product is inexpensive, following is the Nd-Fe-B.
The temperature stability of Alnico and Sa-Co are better than the Nd-Fe-B. So in some pointer instrument, military supplies and luxury goods, Al-Ni-Co and Sm-Co materials are widely used.
Curie temperature of Ferrites is 465degree, Nd-Fe-B 's is 310degree, Alnico's is 800degree, Sm-Co 's is 700--800degree. Therefore, temperature stability of Nd-Fe-B is the worst. But the performance is highest, which are called "magnetism king", Currently manufacture craft of magnetic materials is sintered and binder. As the binder are added adhesive bonding ,the magnetism performance will not be high, but the product precision is high.
2The feature of  sintered NdFeB magnets

 NdFeB permanent materials are based on the inter-metallic Nd2Fe14B which has a vital high BH and Hcj. The advantages of high energy density makes NdFeB permanent magnetic material widely used in the modern industry and electronic applications, which makes instruments, generators, magnetic separators etc smaller, lower weight, thinner.
The advantages of NdFeB are that the cost performance is very high and have good mechanical properties while the disadvantages are that the curie temperature are too low, temperature feature is not good. We have to change its chemical composition and do surface treatment to promote its characters and to achieve actual applications.
The process of sintered NdFeB magnets is powder metallurgy, the smelted alloy powders are pressed into mould in the magnetic fields, the compression moulding are sintered into densified products. We usually do thermal effect processing in order to promote the Hcj of the magnets.
