Pre-stressed Concrete Cylinder Pipe referred to as PCCP, is the prestressed concrete pipe core with steel cylinder wrapped around the prestressed concrete steel wire, and then sprayed with cement mortar to form a dense protective layer, it is composite structure consisting of several material, steel, concrete, high strength steel and cement mortar. This is a new type of composite water pipe and play good characteristics of steel and concrete in reasonable way. According to the different positions of steel cylinder, it can be divided into: lined pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCPL) and buried prestressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCPE). According to the number of rubber ring, it also can be subdivided into single rubber ring pipe (PCCPSL and PCCPSE) or double rubber ring pipe (PCCPDL and PCCPDE).   PCCP pipe with the features of withstand high external pressure, joint sealing, seismic capability, convenient construction, corrosion resistance, easy maintenance. It is widely used in inter-basin water diversion, agriculture, water, urban water supply, water distribution, industrial park water, thermal power plants and nuclear power plant water, recycled water pipes and sewage pipes and other large-scale pressure. PCCP cost is lower and designed life for 50 years. The research of America Water Association Anti-corrosion Committee showed that the PCCP pipe can be used for 100 years.   Since 1939, French Bonner pipe manufactured pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe successfully, till now PCCP has been widely used in many countries of Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia.
