  Isomalto-oligosaccharides are amixture ofglucose oligomers with a-(1,6)-glucosidic linkages, such as isomaltose, panose, isomaltotriose,isomaltotetrose, isomaltopentose, and higher branched oligosaccharides. They are naturallyoccurred components ofthe human diet. IMO has a sweetness of40 to 60% relativeto that ofsucrose, and is intended to use for partial replacement ofother currently available sweeteners at levels up to 15 g per serving in a number of conventional foods. The general population uses IMO as a low-calorie sweetener in a variety of foods
