OLED was first discovered in the laboratory by Chinese-American professor Ching W. Tang in 1983, and people have started research on OLED.

   The advantages of OLED display technology are its self-luminescence, wide viewing angle, almost infinitely high contrast, low power consumption, and extremely high response speed. However, in terms of price (larger display panel), lifespan, and resolution, it is temporarily unable to compete with LCD monitors TFT Display.

   Organic light-emitting diodes can be divided into monochromatic, colorful and full-color according to their colors. Among them, the preparation of full-color organic light-emitting diodes is the most difficult; according to the driving method, it can be divided into passive (Passive Matrix, PMOLED) and active (Active Matrix, AMOLED) ).

   The basic structure of OLED is made of a thin, transparent and semiconducting indium tin oxide (ITO) connected to the positive electrode of electricity, plus another metal cathode, wrapped in a sandwich-like structure TFT LCD module.

   The entire structure layer includes: hole transport layer (HTL), light emitting layer (EL) and electron transport layer (ETL). When the power is supplied to an appropriate voltage, the positive electrode holes and the negative electrode charges will combine in the light-emitting layer to produce light 0.96inch TFT. The three primary colors of red, green and blue are produced according to their different formulations, which constitute the basic colors TFT LCD Display.

   The characteristic of OLED is that it can emit light by itself. Unlike TFT LCD products that require backlighting, they have high visibility and brightness, followed by low voltage requirements and high power-saving efficiency, plus fast response, light weight, thin thickness, and structure. Simple and low cost, it is regarded as one of the most promising products in the 21st century LCD Display Module.
