Monofilament Nylon suture
Nylon suture is a non-absorbable, sterile surgical suture composed of the long chain aliphatic polymers Nylon 6 and Nylon 6.6. MedPro's Nylon sutures are available in either black or blue, dyed with FDA listed dye(s). MedPro's Nylon sutures elicit minimal inflammatory reaction in tissue.
1)The tissue reaction is minimum.
2)Nylon is a non-absorbable material that with time is encapsulated by connective tissue.
3)It is known  that the thread mass  diminishes, approximately  by 10% a year  by the rupture  of chemical links in a hydrolytic action.
