Product description

The main components of rosemary extract are rosmarinol, carnosol and carnosic acid, and several main components in rosemary extract have strong antioxidant activity. It has obvious effect on preventing oil oxidation and keeping meat flavor.


Character

Rosemary extracts can be classified into two categories based on their solubility in water: water-soluble and fat-soluble.

Water-soluble extracts mainly include rosmarinic acid, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid, L-ascorbic acid, hesperidin and isohesperidin, etc. :

Rosmarinicacid
The relative molecular formula is C18H16O8, and the relative molecular weight is 360.31. The CAS number is 537-15-5.

Caffeicacid
The molecular formula is C9H8O4, and the relative molecular weight is 180.16. The CAS number is 331-39-5.

Ascorbic acid
The molecular formula is C6H8O6. the relative molecular weight is 176.12,CAS number is 50-81-7.


Fat soluble extracts include carnosic acid, carnosol, oleanolic acid, ursolic acid, naringu, Sesamol, rosmarinol, rosmarine, isorosmarine, 7-ethoxylrosmarinol, 7-methoxylrosmarinol, etc. :

carnosicacid
The molecular formula is C20H28O4, the relative molecular weight is 332.43,CAS number is 3650-09-7.

Carmosol
The molecular formula is C20H26O4, and the relative molecular weight is 330.42. The CAS number is 5957-80-2.

Ursolic acid (ursolicacid)
The molecular formula is C30H48O3, the relative molecular weight is 456.70, and the CAS number is 77-52-1.

oleanolicacid
The molecular formula is C30H48O3, the relative molecular weight is 456.70,CAS number is 508-02-1.

Ursolic acid and oleanolic acid are similar in nature and often coexist.
And carnosic acid can be converted to methyl carnosic acid, carnosic phenol.
Carnosol can be converted to superrosmarinol. Rosmarinol and 7-methoxy-rosmarinol.


Performance characteristics

Rosemary is recognized as a powerful natural antioxidant. According to the principle of action, it can be divided into:
1  Free radical terminator. Most of the compounds are phenolic structures, such as tert-butylhydroxyanisole (BHA), di-tert-butylhydroxytoluene (BHT), tert-butylhydroquinone   (TBHQ) and tocopherol, etc.
2  reducing agent. Such as ascorbic acid and its salts, sulfite and its salts, riboflavin and so on;
3  chelating agent. Such as EDTA citric acid, phytic acid, etc.
4  Singlet oxygen inhibitors. Such as carotene.


Application

Rosemary extract has the characteristics of high efficiency and safety.

It is widely used in cosmetics, perfume, soap, air freshener, insect repellent, medicine, various animal and plant oils, animal feed, meat products, seafood, flour, sauce, seasoning, baked goods, fried products, natural pigments, essence, biological pesticides, tobacco and other fields. In particular, it can treat hematological malignancies, cardiovascular diseases, anti-cancer, suppression of HIV infection, treatment of indigestion, prevention of alzheimer's disease, heart disease, hyperuricemia and respiratory diseases, etc.
