1.Polylactic Acid market applications
Polylactic Acid has many applications and can be used in a variety of fields such as extrusion, injection molding, film pulling, spinning and more.
(1) Extrusion grade resin
Extrusion grade resin is the main market application of Polylactic Acid, mainly used in large supermarkets for fresh fruits and vegetables packaging, which has become an important member of the European market chain; and secondly, used in the packaging of some electronic products that promote safety, energy saving and environmental protection. In these uses PLA high transparency, high gloss, high steel and other advantages embodied in the fullest, has been the leading direction of PLA applications. In addition, extrusion grade resin in horticulture applications are beginning to gain attention, in slope greening, sandstorm management and other areas have been applied.
(2) Injection molding grade resin
In the market application of Polylactic Acid for injection molding, the more widely used is the modified resin. Although pure PLA has the advantages of high transparency and high gloss, its disadvantages such as hardness and brittleness, processing difficulty and heat resistance affect its application in injection molding.
