Description

The SFF-8643 is a 36-pin high-density MINI SAS connector with a plastic body interface typically used for internal connections, primarily used to implement HD SAS internal interconnect solutions. Typical applications are internal SAS links between SAS HBAs and SAS drive subsystems.The SFF-8643 is compliant with the SAS 3.0 specification and supports the 12Gbps data transfer protocol.The HD MiniSAS external counterpart to the SFF-8643 is the SFF-8644, which is also compatible with SAS 3.0, and supports 12Gbps SAS data transfer speeds. Both the SFF-8643 and SFF-8644 can support up to 4 ports (4 channels) of SAS data.
