Asteca has made the structures for Hangars, heliports, connections between terminals, fingers to the runways, radio altimeters supports… We know that the aesthetical appearance is a determining factor and with the Space Truss we can generate all the geometrical forms that better suits the requirements of the client.   Product Description   The building is required to be of a weatherproof structure to accommodate a transformer room and a switchboard room, ring main unit (RMU) room, Comms. Room, reefer support office and a toilet block plus pump room.   The floor shall be constructed to provide a 3,000 kg/m2 loading (BS6399-1:1996) throughout based on the required floor loading of transformers and heavy switch board cabinets and shall include for all service ducts and recesses etc.   The substation shall house an oil cooled type of transformer and provision for containment of any leakage, fire fighting and smoke detection according the local regulations and guidelines.   Leakage bunds by means of dropped concrete floor and concrete bund walls with depth of approx. 1,200 mm to contain approx. 120% of the cooling oil containment of the transformer.   The concrete leakage bund is to be filled with clean gravel.   At the building ground floor level a galvanised steel grating platform shall be placed around the transformer support structure.   The transformer shall be supported by a concrete or steel beam structure above the bund.   At the location of the Switch Board Room concrete flooring with cable trenches is to be made to house cabling to and from the switchgear cabinets above that are sufficiently sized to accommodate all electrical and communications cabling as required. Sufficient clearance to be maintained between services as required. Trench covers to be integrated into a frame which is recessed in the top of the trench to protect the edges. Cover to be sized allowing easy removable by hand of one person.   The concrete foundation works provided with an earthing ring of mild steel bars and connected to the earthing grid with cast in Cadweld connection plates   Grating Platform Panels for Transformer Leakage Bunds   We will provide the hot dip galvanised grating platform panels above the transformer leakage bund complete with required steel support structure of steel angles, U- and I sections and fixing clips.    Chain Link Partitioning    We will provide the chain link partitioning between the transformer and the Ring Main Unit as shown on the Drawings. The fence partition shall consist of steel posts of 60.5 - 53.3 mm dia. pipe with a welded cover plate at the top and shall be provided with a 200 x 200 x 6 mm foot plate. Bolted between these posts shall be a welded framework with one vertical intermediate post made of 48.6 - 41.6 mm dia. steel pipe. Chain link with a mesh size of 50 mm with plasticized steel wire (3.2 mm) Where shown on drawings the partitioning shall be provided with heavy hinged doors with provisions for padlocking, made of the same pipe size and provided with the same type of chain link as described for the framework. Each link of the chain link mesh shall be welded to the framework
