It will reduce the ability of absorbing and carrying mercury for the indium mesh after the indium is oxidized. 2.To deposite the Indium mesh approaching the electrode as close as possible and be in the main circuit (hot-spot) in conditions that it does not cause the power cut and it is no yellow or black point near the filament when glow discharging. 3. To match the Indium mesh properly. Different types of lamps should be matched with different types of Indium mesh accordingly. The climbing characteristics of lamp is determined by all thefactors of the mercury-absorbing ability and the mercury-releasing speed of the Indium mesh, the property of the main amalgam, content of the impurity gas and the coating materials.
