RNC, together with NodeB, compose a UMTS Radio Access Network (UTRAN), providing the radio resource management function, including system information broadcasting, handover, cell resource allocation, and user plane management, etc. BSC6800 V100R005 is developed based on BSC6800 V100R002, complying with 3GPP R5 version, as well as 3GPP R99/R4 version . BSC6800 V100R005 is able to be large-scale deployed in UMTS network.
