There are many preparation methods of AMT. The principle processes of the main preparation methods are:
1. Using ammonium tungstate solution as raw material, firstly prepare metatungstic acid press solution by solvent extraction or ion exchange method, and then obtain ammonium metatungstate through evaporative crystallization;
2. The AMT solution is obtained by solvent extraction with sodium tungstate solution as raw material, and then ammonium metatungstate is obtained by evaporative crystallization;
3. Heating and thermal dissociation of APT to make it lose part of ammonium and crystal water, convert it into water-soluble ammonium metatungstate, and then obtain ammonium metatungstate through evaporative crystallization;
4. Neutralize APT with acid to PH3-4 under stirring in water to convert APT into AMT solution, and then obtain ammonium metatungstate through evaporative crystallization.
