ASTM A709-50W is a standard specification for structural steel primarily used in steel bridge manufacturing. ASTM A709-50W covers high-strength, low-tolerance steel structural shapes, plates, and rods. The atmospheric corrosion resistance of this steel in most environments is much better than that of carbon steel with or without copper.
ASTM A709 Grade 50W high-strength weathering steel has better weather resistance than ASTM A709 Grade 50 corten sheet. ASTM A709 50W grade corten sheet is suitable for external environments such as construction machinery, mining machinery, trucks, bridges, pressure vessels and other structural buildings.
