The arc suppression coil is widely applied in mines, steelworks, petroleum, chemical building materials or high-tension power distribution network systems in large and medium cities. When there is a single-phase earthing fault in the system, it is an effective way to weaken earthing current and suppress arc grounding overvoltage.

I. Arc Suppression Coil with Magnetic Bias

Basic Working Principle: It will change the reactance value of the arc suppression coil by applying DC exciting current and changing the magnetic resistance of the iron core. It can adjust the inductance at an electric speed under high tension. When the power grid goes well, the arc suppression coil is pushed far away from the resonance point without applying exciting current, which reduces the possibilities of generating series resonance overvoltage and  any chance to resonance overvoltage, and achieves real-time detection of capacitive current without damping resistor. It is  possible to adjust the arc suppression coil immediately when having the single-phase earthing so as to fulfill the optimal compensation.

II. Multi-tap Arc Suppression Coil

Our company changes the position of the damping resistor into series at secondary side from primary side in traditional products, so that it has low working voltage, further avoids the possibility of burnout of damping resistor and greatly improves the system safety. Because the damping resistor is connected at the secondary side, the damping will change with turns per coil in direct proportion during self-tuning, but the damping ratio is unchangeable, keeping the best damping state.
