Fumed silica is a kind of Amorphous Fumed Silica Powder. In the production process of FRP, unsaturated polyester resin is an important part of FRP. Our silica helps control the viscosity of FRP and achieve the desired thixotropy and is also an indispensable and efficient thickener.

Many yacht hull shells, decks and interior components are now composed of molded fiberglass with a gel coat. Using this gel coat layer to spray patterns not only protects the aesthetic appearance of FRP products, but is also essential for regular maintenance. Therefore, the vast majority of yachts now use gel coats, which are mainly convenient and easy to maintain. Our silica helps control the thixotropy required in the gel coat manufacturing process and is an integral and efficient thickener.
