Product description

[ Name of veterinary drug ]

Generic name: Florfenicol injection

English name :Florfenicol Injection

Chinese Pinyin :Fubennikao Zhusheye

[Main ingredients] Florfenicol

[Properties] This product is colorless to slightly yellow clear liquid.

[Pharmacological action] Pharmacodynamics Florfenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic of amide alcohols, which is an antibacterial agent. Florfenicol inhibits the synthesis of bacterial proteins by binding to the ribosomal 50S subunit. It has strong antibacterial activity against a variety of Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria. Pasteurella haemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae were highly sensitive to florfenicol. In vitro, florfenicol has similar or stronger antibacterial activity than thiamphenicol against many microorganisms. Some bacteria resistant to amide alcohols due to acetylation, such as Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae, may still be sensitive to florfenicol.

It is mainly used for bacterial diseases in pigs, chickens and fish caused by sensitive bacteria, such as Pasteurella haemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae in cattle and pigs. Typhoid and paratyphoid fever caused by Salmonella, chicken cholera, chicken dysentery, Escherichia coli disease, etc. Fish bacterial septicemia, enteritis, erythrodermia, etc. caused by Pasteurella fish, Vibrio fish, Staphylococcus aureus, hydrophila, enteritis bacteria, etc.

Pharmacokinetics Florfenicol was rapidly absorbed, and therapeutic concentration was reached in the blood about 1 hour after oral administration, and the peak blood concentration was reached in 1 to 3 hours. The bioavailability of flurenicol was more than 80%. Florfenicol is widely distributed in animals and can cross the blood-brain barrier. It is excreted mainly in its original form in the urine and to a lesser extent in the feces.

[Drug interactions] (1) Macrolides and lincosamines have the same targets as this product, which are bound to the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosome. When combined, they can produce antagonistic effects.

(2) It may antagonize the bactericidal activity of penicillins or aminoglycosides, but it has not been demonstrated in animals.

[ Action and use ] Amido alcohol antibiotics. It is used for Pasteurella and Escherichia coli infections.

[Usage and dosage] Intramuscular injection: one dose, per lkg body weight, chicken 0.2ml, pig 0.15 ~ 0.2ml, Every 48 hours, twice in a row. Fish 0.005 ~ 0.01ml, once a day.
