Properties:
Colorless to light yellow transparent liquid, which will become brown or dark red when exposed to air or sunshine, can dissolve in water with instability, is easy to dissolve in ethyl ether, benzene and chloroform, but cannot dissolve in petroleum hydrocarbon.
Uses: Furfural alcohol is an important organic chemical material with extensive use as well as an important heterocyclic compound and organic synthetic material for industrial production. It mainly applies to:
1. The produnction of furan resin, furfural resin, furfural alcohol-urea formaldehyde resin, phenol resin, etc. With different kinds of performance;
2. The modeling and core making for casting production;
3. Anticorrosion resin and pharmacy, and with tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol being produced when hydrogen added;
4. Dye, synthetic fiber, rubber, pesticide, casting and many other industries;
5. The production of medical intermediate, chemical intermediate, pyridine, etc.
6. The production of tartaric acid, plasticizer, solven ( such as varnish and pigment), rocket fuel, etc.
