Product description
The wheel speed sensor is mainly a sensor used to test the wheel speed of a car, and the detected rotation frequency signal will be directly transmitted to the car's ABS computer. When the wheel speed sensor detects that the wheel reaches 40km/h, the ABS system will begin to intervene. Then when the car is braking, with the help of the ABS system, the pressure of the brake pump will be automatically adjusted to prevent individual wheels from locking, which improves the safety of the car to a certain extent.
Wheel speed sensor detection method
1. First, we need to check the gap between the wheel speed sensor and the ring gear. The normal standard value for the front wheel is 1.10-1.97mm, while the rear wheel is 0.42-0.80mm. If the gap is too large, it will directly affect the collection of wheel speed sensors and the accuracy of data.
2. Then it’s time to check the output voltage. First raise the car to lift the tires off the ground and release the parking brake.
3. Remove the ABS wheel speed sensor wiring harness plug and measure directly.
4. Turn the wheel at 1/2 revolution per second and measure the output voltage with a multimeter. The normal range for the front wheel is 70-310mV, while the rear wheel needs to be greater than 260mV. If it meets the standards, it means that the wheel speed sensor is working normally at this time.
