An intumescent system is a combination of various compounds that in the event of fire react together as a result of the temperature increase to form a carbon foam. This foam attains a thickness of 10 to 100 times of the originally applied coating and insulates the substrate material through its low thermal conductivity. Clariant has an outstanding range of experience in raw materials for intumescent coatings and in the development of intumescent coating formulations, either water or solvent based.

 We are very pleased to support our customers to develop suitable Flame Retardant Powder Coating .In our laboratory at Knapsack, Germany, we can compare the performance of a range of different formulations using standard fire tests as a basis for evaluating new formulations for meeting new standards and challenges in fire safety requirements.

Established in 1998, Yangzhou Aolian Powder Coating Co., Ltd has our own subsidiary factory - Founded with a total investment of USD8,000,000, we have a 30,000 square meters' factory equipped with 10 automatic powder coating production lines.

Each year we produce 10,000 metric tons of powder coatings. Our product range covers thermosetting powder coatings, pure epoxy powder coatings, epoxy-polyester powder coatings, pure polyester powder coatings, acrylic powder coatings and polyurethane powder coatings. The different series of powder coatings we output are suitable for painting a wide range of products including electric appliances, furniture, garden tools, vehicle parts, pipes, highway guardrails and much more. At present, we export 35% of our thermosetting powder coating abroad.

At Aolian Powder, we place much emphasis on the quality control and the continued research and development of new products. We use an advanced computer management system, imported testing instruments and production techniques from all over the world.
