APPLICATION:

Pelletizing system is widely used in several areas. For example, plastic recycling is taking waste plastic material into granulator. After crushing, washing, de-watering and preparing for pelletizing, the pelletizing process will start. The pre-processed plastic will have following steps principally:

extruded by extruder, pelletizing as granulates, granulates filtering for quality controlling, granulates drying and collecting. 

There are different concepts to realize the above mentioned steps, so the production line is presented with different equipment. According to the features of plastic material and quality requirements of the granulates, we can customize the most suitable pelletizing concept for customers. 

CHARACTER OF THE PROCESS

• Compared with strand cutting granulating line, the underwater pelletizing can replace the water bath, air knife and pelletizer. It eliminates handling of molten polymer and the potential for broken strands to interfere with production.

• Because the die face contact directly with water, the under water pelletizing line will have higher throughput.

• By controlling the rotation speed of blades, the pellet size is changeable.

• From feeding to pellet exiting, the whole process is contained in one system.

• It possesses relative more complex structure and more precision requirements for the cutting and pelletizing system

ADVANTAGE OF PRODUCTION AND OPERATION

• Tempered water system and dryer can be located away from extruder. More space saving than strand cutting granulating line.

• Preventing from the dropping strands or slow die holes interrupting the production.

• Minimal maintenance, only preventive maintenance needed.

• Less noise at high pelletizing speed
