SmCo magnets are used in high temperature applications where space is limited. Shine magnetics produce SmCo5 and Sm2Co17 magnets which working temperatures up to 350°C/662°F. SmCo Rare Earth magnets do not require any surface plating.

Most of the smco magnets are anisotropic magnetized, which means they have various poles of magnetization.
