Specifications This press screw separator could be widely used in farms and factories for various liquid-solid separation.
Introduction The LX press screw separator is a solids-liquid separating machine including a screw conveyor. Using both principles of separation, by gravity and by mechanical pressing, the machine is designed to separate the liquid phase from the solid phase in a wide range of substances such as sludge, sewage, manure, solids-liquid mixtures, vegetables, processing waste and others, where the percentage of liquid inside the solid may be considerably different. The separated solid and liquid phases can be handled in an easier and cheaper way. In some sectors this can even become a source of income. The machine receives the material to be separated and conveys it using the screw conveyor inside the separator casing. The liquid phase is separated through the mesh of the cylindrical screen which encloses the screw conveyor. Along its path toward the exit, the material gradually separates progressively the less linked liquid and then the more strongly linked liquid until a plug of almost dry material has formed before the outlet. The plug is continuously expelled through the outlet diaphragm. Application Our LX press screw separator could be widely used in farm and other industrial production for solids-liquid separation. The most popular application is the manure separation in livestock farm. The press screw separator divides the animal waste washed by water into two streams: the manure slurry and the solids. The liquid is then drained into a waste lagoon or storage tank while the dry solids can be put to a variety of uses, including compost, fertilizer and animal bedding. The separator could also work with microbial treatment system to enhance each other’s benefits and create an even more efficient means of manure management. Solids separation is an excellent way to extract the nutrient-rich solids for use in other applications such as fertilizer or composting. The fertilizer value of treated manure is much better than untreated, and taking out recalcitrant solids with a separator further enhances the manure treatment. So the separation and biological treatment together decreases or even eliminates the amount of nitrogen fertilizer the farms need to purchase.
