Clinic Explanation:
Laser lipolysis is a non-invasive liposculpture procedure for removing fat from abdomen,
thighs, buttocks, neck, backs of the arm and elsewhere etc.
Laser energy is transmitted and absorbed by the adipocytes, leading to volume expansion
and rupture.

Laser lipolysis is selective adipose damage, simultaneously facilitating fat removal,
enhancing hemostasis and increasing tissue tightening.

Medical device:
Velas30w 980nm (operation power 5-20w), CW

600um optical fiber, lipolysis handpieces, 18G needle, cannula

Operation procedure:
1. Making the treatment site which a surgical marker, patient are prepped and draped in
the sterile fashion.
2. Local anesthesia (adrenaline 1:500,000) is administered using the wet infiltration
technique.
3. After infiltration of the tumescent fluid, a small incision of 1–2 mm is made by an 18G
needle.
4. Insert the fiber into lipolysis handpiece and then insert the hanpiece through the
incision into the subcutaneous fat.
5. Starting device, setting the parameters and wearing a laser safety goggle during the
operation. Under the indication red beam, emit laser energy to melt the fat.
6. The handpiece is move back and forth in the fat layer in a vertical plane parallel to the
surface.This back-and forth motion is repeated 10-15 times while maintaining the
same horizontal plane.
7. After 10-15 back-and-forth motions have been completed, the cannula is moved to the
adjacent area which is treated with 10-15 back-and-forth motions. This is repeated
until the enter area has been treated.
8. 3mm cannula or massage was performed immediately to get the liquefied fat out

Notice:
* To achieve optimal lipolysis, enough energy must be cumulatively delivered throughout
the different fat layers (superficial, medium, and deep) and into the subdermal plane so
as to reach the collagenous layer.
* A homogeneous distribution of light energy is required to get an optimal elevation of
tissue temperature into the fat layer.
* Adhesive was affixed to skin to better compress and remodel the external thigh.
* The patients were asked to wear compression garments for 1 month.
* Avoid sun exposure for one month.
