Introduction of Steel bar Gratings
----------------------------------
Specification Parameters of Steel Bar Gratings:
1. Composition of steel bar grating
a. Bearing bar.
The bearing bar is flat steel, characterized by width × thickness. The size of the flat steel directly affects the bearing capacity of the steel bar grating and should be reasonably selected. The common sizes of flat steel are 25×5mm, 30×5mm, 40×5mm, 45×5mm, 50×5mm, etc.
b. Cross bar.
The crossbar is usually either twisted square steel, round steel or flat steel, and its function is to hold the bearing flat steel.
2. Bearing bar spacing and cross bar spacing.
a. Bearing bar spacing.
The distance between the centers of the adjacent bearing bars. The smaller the bearing bar spacing, the stronger the load-bearing capacity. The bearing bar spacing is often chosen to be 30mm.
b. Cross bar spacing.
The distance between the centers of the adjacent cross bars. The cross bar spacing is often selected as 50mm or 100mm.
3. Cross-sectional shape of the bearing flat bar.
Either rectangular cross-sectional flat steel, I-shaped flat steel or tooth-shaped flat steel.
4. Steel grating construction form.
Press-welded steel grating and pressure-locked steel grating.
5. Shape and size of the steel grating.
Steel grating usually needs to be made into various shapes and sizes according to the actual use of the project.
6. Material.
Commonly used materials are Q235, 304 or 316 grade stainless steel.
7. Surface treatment.
The finished welded steel grating is usually treated with an overall hot-dip galvanizing process for corrosion protection.
