2. Equipment component and main performance
This equipment mainly includes:
Work-piece conveying system, shot blast cleaning machine, dust-removal system, electrical control system, etc.
The process flow is: load work-piece by travelling crane - feed shot – shot blasting – clean - unload work- piece by travelling crane.
Work-piece conveying system:
it is composed of in-put roller, shot blast room roller and out-put roller. All the rollers are running synchronously, and thus the work piece can move steady. The displacement of work piece on roller is less than 50mm. There should be a certain distance between work pieces.
Input roller:
It is driven separately. The wheels use thickened seamless pipe welding structure. On one side of the roller, there is locating wheel to ensure the right position of work piece, and can prevent off-tracking effectively.
Shot blast room roller:
The roller of main shot blasting room is normal roller covered by wear resistant cast iron. The using life of this wear resistant cast iron outside is not less than 1500 hours. Photoelectric switch, compressing roller switch and detecting element are fixed at a suitable position on the roller, to detect the width, height of work-piece. This will ensure that the impeller head can choose the different working way according to different work piece shape. The opening time of impeller head is depended on the distance between work piece and impeller head, which is measured by pulse signal.
Output roller:
It is driven separately.
Shot blast cleaning machine:
It is the key equipment of this line. Its function is removing the rust and oxide skin on surface, and prepare for next process-painting. It is mainly made up of impeller head (6 sets), cleaning room, and shot recycling system (screw conveyor, hoisting machine, separator, shot holder, and shot supply device), shot recycling scraper, shot cleaning round brush, and blower.
Impeller head:
It uses Q034 impeller head. It has a large shot quantity, high efficiency, good sealing and long life. There are 6 sets of impeller head on the room, they are designed by vehicle research institute of Ministry of Railways, and produced in Dafeng
Cleaning room:
It is the shot-blasting section, which is made of an anterior auxiliary unit, a shot-holding unit, a shot-cleaning room and a posterior auxiliary unit.
The width and height of both entrance and exit of the cleaning unit are 2800mm and 700mm. Its shot-cleaning rolling bush can be adjusted as per the thickness of work-pieces to ensure the smooth passing of the work-piece and to prevent the shot from flying out.
a. There are six projectile ports used for installing shot-blasting device in the shot-blasting unit, and the inside, the top, and four side walls of the projectile port, and the inside wall of shot-bucket are fitted with shield which is made by special alloy of high chromium rare earth, in order to protect the walls of the unit.
b. There would be a large number of pellets piled on the surface of the work-piece in the process of blasting for its horizontal position. To avoid this, a high-performance rolling-brush cleaning device is equipped in the cleaning unit. This machine chose such kind of Rolling Brush whose nylon yarn is imitated OSBORN, German, with good wear. And the rigidity and rebound resilience of the brush are very great; the cleaning efficiency is high, its working life will be long, maintenance and replacement will be easy.
c. In the tail of the cleaning unit is equipped with a high-pressure fan, which is used for blowing the residues and dust accumulated on the surface of the work-piece, in order to keep the surface clean and ensure the quality of painting.
d. The chamber body is made by steel and its design and manufacture is in line with the requirements of the Specification of Steel Structure Design in China.
e. Several access doors are set to ensure that operators have enough space for maintenance, and they seal tightly, keep projectile and dust from leaking out.
f. The vertical screw conveyor which is equipped with projectile circulatory system, horizontal screw conveyor, bucket elevator, separating device, etc. are carefully calculated and tested, and all of them are capable of coordinately transporting
Screw conveyor:
selects GX series screw device, which has good tightness. The raw material of its impeller is low alloy steel, which has good wear resistance. So it can be used to transport small particles with high wear resistance and specific gravity. Separator is a flow-curtain type; it can separate the metal dust and fragments from the qualified projectile. The clean projectile will be stored at the projectile container, to supply the projectile when shot blasting. Anti-reversing device is installed at the transmission part at the top of bucket elevator, to prevent the belt from reversing when emergency stop.
The dust-clean system:
During the shot blasting process, dust will be discharged. If nothing would be done, it will influence the quality of cleaning. Otherwise, the dust is harm to the workshop. This machine has adopted advanced pulse-jet filter dust cleaner; the filter material is a new material, makes the one layer of submicron grade ultrathin fiber sticks to the normal material. The ultrathin fiber arranges densely from each other, the gap is 1% of the bottom fiber. Minimal mesh can stop the submicron grade dust to enter the bottom fiber. So it can form high permeability dust layer. When the dust cannot enter to the filter, it’s easy for the cleaning the filter. And the filtering precision is 5μ, which is so high compared with normal filter with dust clean fabric bag. The dust discharge density is lower than country standards. The dust-collection efficiency is 99.5%, dust-discharge density is lower than ≤100mg/m3
Air duct pumps air from the blasting chamber. There’s no air in, so it will form negative-pressure and stop the dust to flow outside of the chamber.
Electric control system:
This steel plate prefabricate production line mainly includes feeding and translating device, work-piece conveying system, shot blasting and cleaning machine, ventilating dust collection system. The complete equipment is controlled by normal panel, which has been separated into some different areas according to different working place’s conditions. It’s also equipped indicator lights to show different areas’ working status.
It has main power. Every time when you start or finish work, the ventilator’s air outlet should be open while air inlet should be closed when start. And all the outlet and inlet will be open after the ventilator’s start. Filtrating bag of dust collection system is controlled by pulse controlling valve, and it will blow at regular time.
