A liquefied gas transport vehicle refers to a tank-type special transport vehicle equipped with a tank container (tank for short), a control system and safety facilities for transporting liquefied gas. The tank is installed on the second-class truck chassis or trailer chassis, so it is divided into single-vehicle type and trailer type, and trailer type is divided into semi-trailer type and full trailer type. This transport vehicle transports liquefied gases with a maximum working pressure greater than or equal to 0.1MPa, a design temperature not greater than +50°C, and a steel tank body.

 

In addition to the safety supervision regulations for liquefied gas tank trucks, the design, manufacture, use, transportation, inspection, repair, and modification of the tank truck must also comply with industry standards and drawings, and must comply with national regulations on automobiles, transportation, etc. Regulation.

 

When the technical requirements for the research and development of tank trucks do not comply with the safety supervision regulations for liquefied gas tank trucks, trial production and final testing should be carried out on the basis of experimental research with the consent of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Supervision Agency of the Ministry of Labor. After the test is completed, the competent department at or above the provincial level (including the provincial level, the same below) shall organize a technical appraisal and report it to the provincial labor department for filing, and submit the appraisal certificate, product technical standards, general drawings, tank component drawings, and valve parts. Only after assembly parts drawings, design instructions, design calculations and instructions for use have been submitted to the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Supervision Agency of the Ministry of Labor for review and approval can batch manufacturing be carried out. Enterprises without corresponding manufacturing qualifications must apply for corresponding manufacturing qualifications in accordance with regulations.

 

A liquefied gas transport vehicle generally consists of three major parts: a car (or trailer) chassis, a tank, and an operating box. The tank body is mainly composed of a circular cylinder and a head (oval, dish or spherical).

 

1. Tank: divided into bare structure and structure with insulation layer. The tank is equipped with anti-wave plates, loading and unloading pipelines and safety accessories (safety valves, emergency shut-off valves), and is equipped with manholes. The tank is a mobile pressure vessel, generally a steel tank with a design pressure ≥0.1MPa, a design temperature ≥-70°C, and a volume ≥450L.

 

2. Tank connection: The car (or trailer) chassis and the support on the tank are generally connected through detachable connectors.

 

3. Operation box: The box is equipped with loading and unloading pipelines, valves (ball valves, quick connectors), pressure gauges, and thermometers. Its external connections use standard quick connectors to facilitate the loading and unloading of liquefied gas.

 

(1) Single-car liquefied gas transport vehicles generally have an operating box located on one side of the chassis girder.

 

(2) Semi-trailer-type liquefied gas transport vehicles, a. All openings on the tank are located below the medium liquid level in the tank. Generally, there are two operating boxes, one on the left and one on the left, both located at the bottom of the tank to facilitate loading and unloading. Use; b. If all openings are located above the medium liquid level in the tank, there is generally an operating box located on the top of the tank.

 

4. Others: There are two types of semi-trailer chassis: semi-bearing type (with frame) and load-bearing type (without frame).

 

Under the circumstances that the overall size and total mass of tank trucks have certain requirements, the continuous increase in vehicle loading capacity is due to the development of my country's basic industrial materials. For example, the performance of tank materials continues to improve, from ordinary container plates to high-strength container plates. This allows the tank wall thickness to be reduced; at the same time, the frame beam material has also developed from ordinary steel to high-strength steel (such as domestic high-strength steel AG700, etc., which have been successfully applied to semi-trailer beams in large quantities); coupled with the design method, from simple calculation formulas to stress analysis and design, all of which help reduce the maintenance quality of tank trucks and improve the loading quality and transportation efficiency of the entire vehicle.
