Ivermectin Injection

This product is a sterile solution prepared from ivermectin, glycerin formal, propylene glycol and other solvents.

Pharmacodynamics: Ivermectin mainly has a good killing effect on nematodes in the body and arthropods on the body surface.

Pharmacokinetics: The pharmacokinetics of ivermectin varies significantly due to different animal species, dosage forms and routes of administration. The bioavailability of subcutaneous injection is higher than that of oral administration, but the absorption of oral administration is faster than that of subcutaneous injection. After absorption, it can be well distributed to most tissues, but it is difficult to enter the cerebrospinal fluid. The apparent volumes of distribution of cattle, sheep and pigs are 0.45-2.4L/kg, 4.6L/kg and 4L/kg, respectively. Most animals have a longer half-life, cattle, sheep and pigs were 2 to 3 days, 2 to 7 days and 0.5 days.

This product is metabolized in the liver, mainly undergoes hydroxylation in cattle and sheep, and mainly undergoes methylation in pigs. It is mainly excreted from feces, and less than 5% is excreted from urine as the original form or metabolites. Up to 5% of the administered dose is excreted in milk in lactating dams.

[Action and use] Macrolide antiparasitic drug. It is used to control livestock nematode disease, mite disease and other parasitic insect diseases.

Haemonchus, Osteria, Cooperia, Trichostrongylus (including Trichostrongylus einrichi), Roundworm, Upostomum, Leptostomum, Trichocephala, Esophagostomum, The repelling rate of Dictyocaulus adult and fourth-stage larvae is 97%-100%. It is also very effective against arthropods, such as fly maggots, mites and lice. It is slightly less effective against chewing lice and sheep ticks. The rate of repelling pig roundworms, strongyloides suis, strongyloids lamblia, trichocephala, esophageal stomatodes, strongyloids, and adult and immature worms of Corona dentata reaches 94% to 100%. Intraductal Trichinella (not effective for intramuscular Trichinella) is also very effective and also gives good control of blood lice and Sarcoptes suis. Not effective against flukes and tapeworms.

[Usage and Dosage] Calculated as ivermectin. Subcutaneous injection: one dose, per 1kg body weight, 0.2mg for cattle and sheep; 0.3mg for pigs.

Cattle: 1.0ml/50kg body weight.

Sheep: 0.5 ml/25 kg body weight.

Dogs: 0.5ml/25kg body weight

【Adverse Reactions】 (1) When it is used to treat dermatophytosis in cattle, if the killed larvae are in key parts, it will cause serious adverse reactions.

【Precautions】

Side effects and contraindications:

(1) Do not handle cattle within 35 days after slaughter. Do not use in female dairy cows of reproductive age because the withdrawal time in milk has not been established. Do not handle pigs for 18 days after slaughter. Do not handle reindeer for 8 weeks (56 days) after slaughter. Keep this and all medicines out of the reach of children.

(2) Cattle and sheep that produce milk for human consumption shall not be used during the lactation period.

(3) Each subcutaneous injection point should not exceed 10ml.

(4) Ivermectin is highly toxic to shrimp, fish and aquatic organisms, and the residual drug and packaging should not pollute the water source.
