Chemical name: 2,3-Dimethoxy-5-Methyl-6-Decaprenyl benzoquinone Molecular formula: C59H90O4 Molecular weight: 863.36 CAS No.: 303-98-0 Standard:USP31/BP2007/EP6,CP2005,JP14 Product Spec.: 98% Coenzyme Q10 10% Co Q10 (Water-soluble) 20% Co Q10 (Water-soluble) physiological Functions Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ 10) or ubiquinone is essentially a fat-soluble vitamin or vitamin-like substance, is found in small amounts in a wide variety of foods and is synthesized in all tissues. CoQ10 plays an important role in the production of chemical energy in the mitochondria. In its reduced form, ubiquinol, CoQ also serves as an antioxidant. Ubiquinol inhibits lipid peroxidation in biological membranes and in low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and it also protects membrane proteins against oxidative damage. Research has shown that coenzyme Q10 can provide relief from cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, obesity and periodontal disease, in addition to stimulation of the immune system and slowing the ageing process, is sold in the US as a dietary supplement.
Appearance: Pale yellow or orange yellow crystalline powder, odorless and tasteless.
Light easy to break down the event to become darker in color (red micro-material)
Solubility:Soluble in chloroform, benzene, acetone, petroleum ether, ethyl ether, is extremely rare in ethanol soluble and insoluble in water, methanol.
Function:
1)Antioxidant - it scavenges free radicals
2)Improves the efficiency of cellular energy production in the mitochondria (energy factories) of the cell
3)Regulates genes concerned with energy production
4)Stabilises membranes
