The clutch is located in the flywheel housing between the engine and the gearbox. The clutch assembly is fixed on the rear plane of the flywheel with screws. The output shaft of the clutch is the input shaft of the gearbox. During the driving of the car, the driver can press or release the clutch pedal as needed, so that the engine and the gearbox are temporarily separated and gradually engaged to cut off or transmit the power input from the engine to the transmission. The clutch is a common part in mechanical transmission, which can detach or engage the transmission system at any time. The basic requirements are: the joint is stable, the separation is rapid and thorough; Easy to adjust and repair; Small profile size; Low quality; Good wear resistance and sufficient heat dissipation capacity; Easy to operate and labor-saving, commonly divided into two types of dental insert and friction. It can be manufactured by CNC engraving, sand casting, transparent acrylic(PMMA/PC) 3D Printing.

Magnetic powder clutch
The magnetic is placed between the active and the follower, the magnetic powder is in a loose state when there is no power, and the magnetic powder is combined when there is power, and the active and the follower rotate at the same time. Advantages: Torque can be adjusted by adjusting the current, allowing large slip. Disadvantages: large slip when the temperature rise is large, the relative price is high.
Slip type electromagnetic clutch: When the clutch is working, there must be a certain speed difference in the main and slave parts to have torque transmission. The torque depends on the strength of the magnetic field and the speed difference. The excitation current remains unchanged, and the speed decreases sharply with the increase of torque. The torque remains the same, the excitation current is reduced, and the speed is reduced more seriously.
Slip type electromagnetic clutch because there is no mechanical connection between the main and slave components, no wear consumption, no magnetic powder leakage, no impact, adjust the excitation current can change the speed, for the use of continuously variable transmission, which is its advantage. The main disadvantage of this clutch is that eddy currents in the rotor generate heat, which is proportional to the speed difference. The efficiency at low speed is very low, and the efficiency value is the speed ratio of the main and driven axes, that is, η=n2/n1.
The mechanical transmission system for high frequency action can combine or separate the driven part from the active part when the active part is in operation.
When the active part and the follower are separated, the active part rotates and the follower is stationary; The active part and the follower are engaged, and the active part leads the follower to rotate.
Widely used in machine tools, packaging, printing, textile, light industry, and office equipment.
Electromagnetic clutch is generally used in the ambient temperature -20-50 ℃, humidity is less than 85%, no explosion danger of the medium, the coil voltage fluctuation does not exceed the rated voltage ±5%.
