AR400 High Wear Resistance Steel Plate.AR400F is an abrasion resistant specialty plate product specifically designed for service applications that require both wear resistance and impact toughness. AR400F plate is designed with a through thickness Brinell hardness range of 360-444 and a nominal hardness of 400BHN. AR400F plate is used in equipment subject to abrasive wear. Applications for AR400F include truck beds, crushers, hoppers, buckets, chutes, bulldozers, conveyor troughs, bulldozers, concrete mixer drums and excavators.
AR400 Steel is a quenched and tempered, abrasion resistant steel. The quenching and tempering combined with the addition of carbon and manganese increase the hardness of the steel, creating an impact-resistant surface well suited in handling abrasive materials such as gravel, cement, coals, earth and ore. Because of this increased hardness, it isn’t the best option for weldability, formability and machinability. Special processes should be used during manufacturing to prevent chipping. AR400 is not intended for use structural applications, but is commonly used in conveyors, chutes, and in the mining industry.

The steel plate is a flat steel that is cast with molten steel and pressed after cooling.
The steel sheet is flat, rectangular and can be directly rolled or cut from wide steel strips.
The steel plates is divided according to the thickness, the thin steel plate is less than 4 mm (the thinnest is 0.2 mm), the medium-thick steel plate is 4-60 mm, and the extra-thick steel plate is 60-115 mm.
Steel sheets are divided into hot rolling plate and cold rolling plate according to rolling.

Hot rolling processing methods include hot rolling, forging, extrusion and other methods.
2. Cold Rolled Steel Plate
Cold rolling processing methods include cold rolling, cold drawing and cold drawing, cold bending, cold extrusion and other methods.
The cold rolling method is to continue processing the hot rolled steel below the recrystallization temperature to make it cold rolled steel. Using cold rolling processing method can improve the mechanical properties of steel, and obtain products with high dimensional accuracy and certain smoothness.
