Product description
There are 11 reasons for ABS sensor failure
1. ABS system issue: It is possible that the ABS system plug is loose, and the solution is to tighten the plug.
2. Speed sensor issue: The half shaft gear ring of the speed sensor is too dirty, with iron filings or magnetic substances stuck. The solution is to clean the half shaft teeth.
3. Excessive battery voltage or blown fuse: If the battery voltage is too high, maintenance is required. If the fuse blows, the solution is to replace it.
4. Poor electronic control device: It may be due to damage to the electronic automatic dimmer or burnt out lamp fuse. The solution is to go to a 4S store for professional repair.
5. Poor hydraulic adjustment device: Generally, there are defects in the castings of the upper and lower shells, or the sealing rings between the upper and lower shells are damaged, the fastening bolts are loose, or the valve drum is aged, causing air to leak out from the adjustment screw. The solution is to go to a professional repair shop for maintenance.
6. Line connection failure: Although each vehicle has an ABS system, there are still differences due to different processes, assembly quality, and materials. There are many faults with loose wheel speed sensor wires, which may cause the ABS fault light to light up. The solution is to promptly go to professional repair institutions such as 4S stores to repair the circuit.
7. ABS control unit (ECU) programming issue: It is likely that the data within the control unit does not match or is incorrect, and the data needs to be readjusted. This requires the use of a dedicated testing computer, and the solution is to go to the repair point to clear the fault.
8. ABS master cylinder issue: The ABS brake anti lock system requires a built-in master cylinder to drive and operate, and a malfunction of the master cylinder can cause the ABS system to fail. The solution is to go to a maintenance agency for repair or replace the ABS master cylinder.
9. When the vehicle starts, the self check lights up normally: When the vehicle starts, a self check operation will be carried out, during which the fault light will light up. After the self check is completed, the fault light will go out, which is a normal situation. The solution is that no special treatment is required.
10. Sensor issue: The sensor has identifiable open circuit or short circuit to positive or ground faults. The solution is to go to a professional repair shop to check the specific cause of the sensor short circuit, and then repair it according to the cause.
11. Fault in the wiring connection between the wheel speed sensor and the ABS control unit: Generally, when the vehicle speed exceeds 10km/h, there is no speed signal transmitted to the ABS control unit, or when the vehicle speed exceeds 40km/h, the speed signal exceeds the tolerance value. The solution is to go to a professional repair shop to readjust the wiring between the wheel speed sensor and the ABS control unit.
