To decline chest press, follow these steps:
1. Adjust the decline bench to a decline angle that suits your comfort level.
2. Lie down on the bench with your feet secured at the end of the bench or by using a foot brace.
3. Grab the barbell with an overhand grip slightly wider than shoulder-width apart. Make sure your wrists are straight.
4. Lift the barbell off the rack and hold it directly above your chest with your arms fully extended.
5. Slowly lower the barbell towards your lower chest by bending your elbows. Keep your elbows slightly flared out.
6. Pause for a second when the barbell is just above your chest.
7. Push the barbell back up to the starting position by extending your arms fully.
8. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
