Whole Round Sea Frozen Mullet

Mullet, body extension, near the front cylinder, the rear side of the flat, usually 20~40 cm long, weighing 500~1500 grams. The whole body is round scale, big eyes, eyelids developed. Teeth small villous, born on the edge of the upper jaw. Two dorsal fins, anal fin has 8 rays. The caudal fin is deeply forked. Body, back, head was bluish gray, white belly. The quality of economic fish mullet is warm tropical shallow water, widely distributed in the Atlantic, India and the Pacific ocean.

The mullet(Mugil cephalus) is an important food fish species in the mullet family Mugilidae. The roe of this mullet is salted, dried, and compressed to make a specialty food across the world, such as Greek avgotaraho, Taiwanese Wuyutsu, Korean myeongran jeot, Japanese karasumi, Italian bottarga, Turkish Haviar and Egyptian batarekh. In Egypt, the fish itself is salted, dried, and pickled to make feseekh.

Mullet is rich in protein, fatty acid, vitamin B, vitamin E, calcium, magnesium, selenium and other nutrient elements, tender meat, delicious taste, especially before the winter solstice mullet, the most plentiful for fish, back is sweet, especially fat, often as the hotel restaurant seafood dishes.
