Alumina Ceramic:
Al2O3 porcelain sintered products have a flexural strength of up to 250 MPa and hot pressed products of up to 500 MPa. Al2O3 ceramics have a Mohs hardness of 9, and have excellent wear resistance, so they are widely used in the manufacture of tools, ball valves, grinding wheels, ceramic nails, bearings, etc. Among them, Al2O3 ceramic tools and industrial valves are the most widely used. .The optimum cutting speed of Al2O3 ceramic tools is higher than that of ordinary carbide tools, which can greatly improve the cutting efficiency of different materials. With the extensive research of scientists, other components are added to form a two-phase or solid solution in the matrix of Al2O3-based composite ceramics and whisker-reinforced ceramics. These technologies make up for the lack of pure Al2O3 ceramics, which improves its cutting performance and durability.
