Although traditional thermal insulation materials (such as mineral wool or polystyrene) are widely used, the development of needle-punched non-woven fabrics and airlaid non-woven fabrics based on flame retardant modified natural fibers has proved that such materials meet the requirements of architectural applications.

Non-woven fabrics are moisture-proof, breathable, flexible, light in weight, non-combustion-supporting, easy to decompose, non-toxic, non-irritating, rich in color, low in price, recyclable, etc. For example, polypropylene (pp) pellets are mostly used as raw materials and are produced by a continuous one-step method of high-temperature melting, spinning, laying, hot pressing and coiling.
