Potassium perchlorate is a white powder or colorless rhombic crystal, inorganic, need to be sealed in cool storage.The density of 2.52 g/cm3.Melting point is 610 ℃.Molecular weight 138.55.It is soluble in water (1.5g/100g) but hardly soluble in ether and ethanol. It is more stable than potassium chlorate and decomposes into potassium chloride and oxygen at the melting point.Can be used as smoke agent, ignition agent, oxidant and chemical analysis reagent.
