Output performance:

In 2007 and 2008, the average yield per mu in the regional trial of the eastern group of the province in two years was 617.4 kg, an increase of 8.34% over the control. Among the 16 points, 15 increased and 1 decreased, with an increase of 93.8%. In 2008, the average yield per mu in the provincial production test was 648.3 kg, 16.58% higher than that in the control. All the five pilot projects increased the yield by 100%.

Key points of cultivation technology:

1. Select medium and high fertility soil for planting, which can be sown in spring or summer. Nutrient blocks (balls) should be used for seeding, and single plant should be transplanted directionally.

2. Planting density: about 3000 plants per mu.

3. Fertilization: 40~50 kg of three element compound fertilizer per mu of base fertilizer, 2500 kg of farm manure twice (base fertilizer and topdressing), and twice of urea (a small amount of topdressing fertilizer and a large amount of spike fertilizer), totaling about 35 kg.

4. Disease and pest control: pay attention to the prevention and control of small leaf spot, sheath blight and head smut; pay attention to the prevention and control of land tigers at seedling stage; pay attention to the prevention and control of corn borer at bell mouth stage.
