Product description
One Step DRI Rotary Kiln One step process is combining a preheating/-hardening grate with a standard rotary kiln.Which is also named "One step"DRI production. It's different with tradtional process as below: Tradtional process:iron ore concentrate→pelleting→prehardening→rotary kiln→circular cooler→kiln(reduction)→cooler→DRI One step process:iron ore concentrate →pelleting→prehardening→kiln(reduction)→cooler→DRI; The advantages of One step DRI rotary kiln 1. Reduce the pellet cooler process by circular cooler and reheat the pellet process in rotary kiln , so can reduce the initial investment ,e.g.: the pelletizing plant rotary kiln & refractories and circular cooler equipment cost and relevant equipment land, civil work, steel structure 2. Direct feed of the hot pellets into the rotary kiln, thereby minimizing the overall heating up time in rotary kiln , will increase the specific throughput rate of a standard size rotary kiln by up to 30 to 35 percent 3. Reduce the one pellet coller process (1050~50°C) and one reheat pellet process (50°C~1050°C) in rotary ,can save power and coal , will reduce the production cost per ton DRI directly 4. Application of system modularity ,i.e. while the ore beneficiation plant could be economically designed for larger throughput rates the preheating/kiln systems can be added in modules. This allows spreading of investment cost of longer periods of time ,which is more favorable medium sized steel plants 5. Utilization of the sensible heat of the rotary kiln’s waste gases for the purpose of heating/hardening of the green pellets (in order to stabilize the operation as well as depending on the ore type used some external energy source may be required)
