Q: Is it supposed to make a noise like fire wood cracking when it is turned on?

A: This fireplace will not/should not make a noise that will sound like a wood-burning fireplace. There will be a small hum as there is a fan blowing out the heat.

Q: Do it add moisture to the air?

A: This unit does not add moisture to the add. It is only a heater.

Q: How long will unit heat stay on at one time?

A: This fireplace has an "on and off" switch so it should stay on until you turn it off. There is a safety mechanism that will shut off the fireplace if overheated.
