Modified Polyester Resin (A-840)

GENERAL INFORMATION
A-840 is designed for intractable coating substrates such as metal hardware, glassware, and electroplating surfaces.
Due to good adhesion and hardness, it is applied in high-standard coating system which is strictly required in hardness and chemical properties.
It features excellent adhesion and alcohol-resistance.
It can be applied in electrostatic painting/spraying procedure as well.
APPLICATION
- Coating on metal substrates, hardware, glassware
- Metallic pigment coating system
- In general baking system, it crosslinks at 120 ° C. At 140 ° C, it can reach the best chemical resistance. Above 140 ° C, yellowing may occur. If the higher backing temperature is required, please use A-850A or A-850B.
- For general application, A-840 can be air-dried under room temperature.
- When applied in coating on glass substrate or electroplating surface, the introduction FAT-1600(adhesion promoter) is always recommended, which can provides an enhanced boiling-resistant and adhesive property.
