How to choose fire-retardant or LOSH Cable

Firstly, consider the laying surroundings of electric wires. For example, non flame retardant cables can be used for directly buried or separately pipes (metal, asbestos, cement pipes), while semi enclosed cable trays, trucking or special cable trenches (with cover plates) can reduce the flame spread, Flame retardant class C is recommended.

In this environment, there is little chance of being attacked by external factors. Even if the ignition is blocked by water due to narrow space, it is easy to self extinguish and not easy to cause disasters.

On the contrary, for indoor exposed laying, climbing through houses, or concealed passages, tunnel corridors, where the fire is easy to reach, and the space after the fire is relatively large and the air is easy to circulate, the flame retardant grade should be moderately increased. It is recommended to choose flame-retardant class B or even flame-retardant class A.

If the laying environment is near high-temperature furnaces or in flammable and explosive chemical, petroleum and mine environments, It is recommended to choose flame-retardant class A, or halogen-free low smoke flame-retardant and fire-resistant class A.
