Propyl gallate (PG) is also known as propyl gallate, molecular formula C10Hl2O5. relative molecular mass 212.21. China's "Hygienic Standard for the Use of Food Additives" (GB2760-2011) stipulates that propyl gallate can be used in food fats and oils, fried foods, dried fish products, cookies, instant noodles, quick-cooked rice, canned nuts, cured meat products, and its maximum use level is 0.1g/kg. /kg.

Introduction |
Propyl gallate referred PG. White to light brown crystalline powder, or slightly milky white needle-like crystals. Odorless, slightly bitter taste, odorless aqueous solution. PG insoluble in water, slightly soluble in cottonseed oil, peanut oil, lard. Its PH 0.25% aqueous solution is about 5.5. Propyl gallate relatively stable, the case of copper, iron and other metal ions color reaction, becomes purple or dark green, hygroscopic, light and unstable, decomposition, temperature resistance poor. |
