Liaoyang hongji manufactures and supplies a wide range of tubular centrifuge machines which are used for the regular separation of two liquid mixtures by applying different centrifugal gravities and to purify liquids with minute percentage of solid dirt from liquids. The centrifugal processing step marks the final stage in the process of extracting virgin coconut oil or VCO. A unique feature of the centrifugal process is that it utilizes a non-heat method of extraction called cold processing technology. Heated methods can destroy many vital nutrients that act as natural preservatives for coconut oil, during storage. Cold processing technology retains the natural properties of coconut oil and maintains its nutritional values. All contact parts of the equipment are made with SS304 or316L Stainless Steel which is resistant to corrosion and food-safe.
How it Works?
Coconut milk is fed from the inlet located at the bottom of the centrifuge bowl. The centrifuge bowl is connected to a motor and fluid separation takes place inside the tubular, rotating bowl at a speed of 19,000 rpm. The basic principle is that the difference in densities of two immiscible liquids forces the liquid with higher density outside the rotation axis. The heavier liquid phase is forced towards the tubular bowl while the lighter liquid phase is force inside. Special openings at the top of the bowl separate Virgin Coconut Oil and water at two outlets at the top, corresponding to the light phase - which is water and the heavy phase - which virgin coconut oil. The virgin coconut oil separated is further fed again into the machine and repeated three times to get 100% pure, virgin coconut oil. This is how the machine works.
