High Efficiency Vacuum Dryer Introduction

The Hywell Machinery High Efficiency Vacuum Dryer is a high efficiency vertical type drying equipment which integrates drying, crushing, vacuum decompression and mixing. The HW series conical paddle vacuum dryer have three to five times efficiency of the same specification double cone vacuum dryer. The unique paddle design of the vertical, centrally-driven dryer combines extremely fast drying rates with a compact design. It is a universal vacuum dryer that has been developed to enable vacuum, atmospheric and pressurized processing of a variety of materials such as powders, filter cakes, pastes and viscous slurries, especially when they are brittle and/or heat sensitive.

The Hywell Machinery conical vacuum dryer has a few advantages that make it suitable. It is an extremely gentle dryer/mixer for minimal particle size degradation. Liquids can be dosed in directly into the active zone in a controlled fashion for an even coating across the entire batch. The drying phase is by vacuum with a solvent recovery system to allow for the recovery of the solvents that were used to dissolve the active ingredients.  The discharge from the vessel is from the bottom of the cone by a full port valve, there is no bottom bearing to support the arm which could generate heat or require lubricants in the dryer.  It also allows for the entire batch to discharge quickly with minimal residual material left behind.

Ribbon Conical Vacuum Dryer Description

The thermal energy of the HW series vacuum drying machine needed for drying is introduced into the product through a heated jacket that can be heated by various media including steam, hot oil and water. The jacket provides rapid distribution of heat into the product in combination with efficient mixing.

The vacuum inside the dryer allows vapor to be removed at low temperatures, which makes the conical paddle dryer ideal for drying heat-sensitive products. The vapors are removed through a dust filter fitted on top of the vessel. This then prevents the dust from penetrating into the vacuum system.

The conical paddle drier is fitted with a condenser with a receptacle for recovering solvents. This condenser can be installed before the vacuum pump, or after it, depending on the characteristics of the solvents.

The moisture content of the product can be taking samples from the product inside the dryer under vacuum.

The Paddle Vacuum Dryer is designed for vacuum drying of solid based materials, but can be used in a wide range of other applications requiring thermal processing or vacuum treatment of solids, such as:

Heating method of Vertical Conical Vacuum Drier

For the heating method of the tray vacuum dryer, it can use the steam or hot water or heat transfer oil as heat source. However, the above heat sources cannot be provided by end user. Hywell machine can provide electric heating heat transfer oil furnace or electric heating hot water tank. Specific can be designed according to customers.

Condensation recovery unit of screw blending dryer

If the material contains a large amount of solvents such as methanol, ethanol, etc. The solvent of raw material can be collected by using a condenser. But the condenser to recollected the solvent that need user to supply cooling water, If the solvent is water or low proportion of solvents , the condenser is not required in order to save investment cost.

There are two types of vacuum dryer condensers in Hywell company. One is the traditional tube condenser. This condenser is made of seamless steel pipes that arranged inside the condenser cover. The outside of the tube is equipped with cooling fins to increase the condensation efficiency.

The other is a metal hose condenser. The condenser is undoubtedly a seamless metal hose wrapped inside the condenser. so the same heat exchange area, the outside size of hose wound condensor is smaller than the tube condenser and cost is also cheaper. now Hywell company almost use this kinds Hose wound tube condenser

How do the Vertical Ribbon Dryer works

The construction of Hywell Machinery HW series vertical ribbon Dryer is very compact: it consists of a cone vessel with the drive unit on the top and discharge valve at the bottom, and a tapered ribbon mounted on the central shaft. In the cone vessel, there is a central tapered ribbon with very small clearance between its edge and the wall, The ribbon moves the materials upward along the vessel wall to the top, where the materials then drop by gravity into the center. During this continuous operation, material particles and heat are exchanged quickly which leads to a homogeneous product. Besides, the material particles are mixed with minimal mechanical and thermal stress, which makes this type of mixer a good solution for fragile and heat sensitive product.
