Square Nut

A square nut is a type of nut that has a square shape instead of a hexagonal shape like a regular nut. It is commonly used in poleline hardware, which refers to the hardware used in the construction and maintenance of power transmission and distribution lines.

Yokelink Square nuts are used to fasten attachments to machine bolts, carriage bolts, and insulator pins. Galvanized square nuts are tapped oversize to compensate for the corrosion resistant coating on the bolts. Manufactured from ANSI/IEEE Std C135.80 and ANSI B18.2.2, Hot Dip Galvanized meet ASTM A153.
